Michel Benoit

Michel Benoit

Michel Benoit is professor of Psychiatry at the Nice School of Medicine. He is in charge of the Psychiatric department of the Nice University Hospital. Michel Benoit is specialized in old age psychiatry, in the treatment of resistant depression and of post stress traumatic disorders. He joined the CoBTeK team in 2016.

Jérémy Bourgeois

Jérémy Bourgeois is a psychologist specialized in neuropsychology in the CoBTeK unit at the Nice-Sophia Antipolis University and at the Nice Memory Centre for Care and Research (CMRR). He has two Master degrees in Psychological Research and in Neuropsychology, and a PhD in Psychology. He also works with brain damaged patients in his private practice. His domains of expertise include visual perception, cognitive rehabilitation, the use of new technologies for diagnosis, rehabilitation and stimulation, and dementia prevention. He is researcher in the French team of the In-MINDD project.

François Brémond

François Brémond is a Research Director at INRIA Sophia Antipolis. He created the STARS team on the 1st of January 2012. He obtained his Master degree in 1992 from ENS Lyon. He has conducted research work in video understanding since 1993 both at Sophia-Antipolis and at USC (University of Southern California), LA. In 1997 he obtained his PhD degree from INRIA in video understanding and he obtained in 2007 his HDR degree (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches) from Nice University on Scene Understanding: perception, multi-sensor fusion, spatio-temporal reasoning and activity recognition. He is co-director of CoBTeK team.

Renaud David

Renaud DAVID is physician at the Nice University  memory Center. He received his MD in psychiatry from the Nice School of Medicine and his PhD in biology from the Nice Sophia Antipolis University. His fields of expertise are the behavioral and psychological symptoms in neuroses entertainers disorders, the movement analysis (actimetry), and the use of information and communication technologies for the early diagnosis and the non pharmacological management of cognitive disorders in elderly subjects.

Alexandre Derreumaux

Alexandre Derreumaux is engineer in charge of all the equipment of the CoBTeK team. He is particularly involved in the AZGAME and SAFEE research projects. He is also the developer of the COBTEST web application devoted to the assessment of behavior, cognition and frailty

Denys Fontaine

Denys Fontaine

Denys Fontaine is professor of Neurosurgery at the Nice School of Medicine, Director His domains of expertise include deep brain stimulation in neurodegenerative disorders an pain. He is also the director and the initiator of the FHU (Féderation Hospitalo-Universitaire) Inovpain aiming to find Innovative solutions in the field of chronic refractory pain. He joined the CoBTeK team in 2017 and brought his expertise in the field of neuromodulation.

Auriane Gros

Auraine Gros is a PhD student at the CoBTeK unit of the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis. She obtained a Master 2 degree in Neurosciences in 2011, and she is currently finalizing a thesis in medical sciences on topics related to emotional disturbances. She has been working in different neurology departments and Memory Research Center on olfaction stimulation and music-therapies in aphasic patients. Her main domains of expertise are emotions and olfaction. She is clinical research assistant for the ANR SaFEE project. This project aims at developing non-pharmacological solutions to improve the behavioral disturbances in patients with Alzheimer’s disease. These solutions include interventions based on smell, music and serious games.

Alexandra König

Alexandra König is a neuropsychologist who received her Master degree in 2012 at the Department of Psychiatry and Neuropsychology Maastricht University. Her principal research interest lies in the field of behavioral disorders. She graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at the University of Montreal, Canada. After her master she continues her work as a PhD student at the research center in Nice investigating the possible benefits of using new technologies in the diagnostic procedure of dementia. Her work is part of the European research project Dem@care. Besides research, she is involved in the neuropsychological assessment work with patients of the center.

Gilles Leloup

Speech-therapist – PHD (Language Sciences), lecturer in the departments of Speech-Language Pathology of Nice, Paris UMPC, Beirut; a private practitioner and hospital consultant at the hospital (Referral Center for Learning Disorders – Hospital Pediatrics -Nice). His areas of expertise include developmental disorders of language and literacy, attention deficit disorders (ADHD) and especially the development of remediation programs.

Valeria Manera

Valeria Manera is a postdoctoral fellow at the CoBTeK unit of the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis (France). She has a Master degree in Clinical Psychology and a PhD in Cognitive Science. She spent long research periods at the University of Leuven (Belgium) and at the Stanford Psychophysiology Laboratory (California). Her domains of expertise include biological motion perception, emotion recognition and regulation, and dementia prevention. She is researcher in the French team of the In-MINDD project.

Philippe Robert

Philippe Robert is professor of Psychiatry at the Nice School of Medicine, Director of the Nice Memory Centre for Care and Research (CMRR), Director of the Cognition, Behaviour & Technology Unit (CoBTeK) at the Nice-Sophia Antipolis, and president of the Association IA (Innovation Alzheimer – affect – Autism). His domains of expertise include behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia, apathy assessment and treatment, and the use of new technologies for diagnosis and stimulation patients with neuropsychiatric diseases.

Sylvie Serret

Sylvie serret is child psychiatrist at Autism Resource Center hospital for child Lenval – Nice. its research activities within CoBTeK focuses on the development of serious games for children with developmental disorders.

Andrea Soubelet

Andrea Soubelet is an Associate Professor of Psychology and a faculty research associate of COBTEK at the University of Sophia Antipolis, at Nice. She specialized in developmental psychology and cognitive psychology. She studies (1) the development of cognitive ability and personality from childhood to old age, and how social environments and intra-individual characteristics shape typical and atypical development (e.g.; memory and executive functioning, emotion regulation); (2) individual differences in coping with adversity and resilience. Dr. Soubelet’s recent research has been published in Personality and Individual Differences, Psychiatry Research, Journal of Affective Disorders, Neuropsychology, Aging, Neuropsychology and Cognition, and Assessment.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Monique Thonnat

Monique Thonnat est HDR et directrice de recherches INRIA classe exceptionnelle. Elle a obtenu en 1980 un diplôme d’ingénieur ENSPM et en 1982 une thèse de Docteur-Ingénieur en Optique et Traitement du Signal de l’Université de Marseille III puis en 2003 une HDR de l’Université de Nice Sophia-Antipolis. Elle rentre à l’INRIA à Sophia Antipolis comme Chargée de recherche 1ère classe en 1983. Elle obtient le grade de Directeur de Recherche en 1991 puis elle crée en 1995 l’équipe Orion, puis en 2008 l’équipe PULSAR . Monique Thonnat a publié plus de 199 articles scientifiques et est co-auteur de 2 brevets internationnaux.
Elle a encadré ou co-encadré 26 theses de doctorat en sciences. En 2008 elle a été nommée Chevalier de la Legion d’Honneur par le ministère de la recherche. De 2009 à 2013 elle était directeur scientifique adjoint de l’ INRIA en charge du domaine Perception, Cognition and Interaction. De 2013 à 2017 elle était directrice du centre Inria Bordeaux Sud Ouest. Depuis aout 2017 elle est dans l’équipe Inria STARS du centre INRIA Sophia Antipolis. Susanne Thummler

Susanne Thummier

Susanne Thummler is a pediatric neurologist working in the University Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (SUPEA) at Children’s Hospitals of Nice CHU-Lenval. After specialisation in pediatrics she obtained University diplomas in Pediatric Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology. She proposes a specialised consultation for neurologic disorders with psychiatric expression, and coordinates the pediatric and neurological care within the SUPEA and the Autism Ressources Center of Nice. She validated her experience in fondamental research with a PhD thesis and a post-doctoral fellowship in neurosciences, thus working with Michel Lazdunski at IPMC (Sophia-Antipolis, France). Together with Florence Askenazy she coordinates the research group of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry within CoBTeK.
