In the last decades there has been a growing interest in employing Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in patients with Alzheimers disease (AD) and related disorders, both for clinical activity and for research purposes. On one side, ICT can be employed to help in the assessment and evaluation of patients functional impairments: for instance, it allows the development of new methods to more objectively evaluate behavioral and functional deficits. On the other side, ICT can be employed to support patients in everyday activities, and can play a key role in the patients treatment, stimulation, and rehabilitation.
Since 2012 the IA annual workshop has aimed to provide interactions between clinicians, engineers and researchers as well as to develop recommendations. This year the IA workshop ICT for the assessment and rehabilitation in Alzheimer s disease and related disorders will focus on the use of ICT in clinical research and in particular, the results and applications developed in the European FP7 Project VERVE.
Be ready for a day of demos, interactive sessions and lectures! (The Workshop will be hosted by The Institute Claude Pompidou).
