Development of a computer tool for assessing praxis by automatic video recognition.

 CoBTeK and STARS INRIA teams are in charge of this project with as promoter the AI association.

 The main objective of this project is to develop an assessment tool for praxis. This tool need to allow an automatic video recognition of members and positions fingers of the subjects, for different types of praxis (imitation concrete gestures , imitation abstract gestures, mime object use , uni- praxis manual or two-hand) . The evaluation of the effectiveness of the device will be made by comparison between the results provided by it, and the classical assessment carried out by a clinician.

 The secondary objective is to compare the results between a mime presentations of action on screen in 3D and a presentation on screen in 2D.
